What is Personal Brand Photography?

Personal Brand Photography is a mixture of photojournalism, lifestyle, and portraiture created to communicate your personal brand and make a meaningful connection with your audience.

I’m sure by now you’ve heard people talking about “personal brand”.

Well, what is it?

A personal brand is you as an influencer or entrepreneur, personally connecting with your target audience by showing them your story.

Nowadays with so many business out there and many markets completely saturated, businesses need to connect with people in order to gain their trust, and ultimately their business, loyalty or following.

This happens to me every time I use the internet to search for a product or service. If I go to a business website and it’s pretty nice and has a lot of product or service images and it’s easy to navigate that’s great, but if I go to another website and I see an image of the person behind the business and then a few pictures of them interacting with clients or making their products, maybe read a short paragraph about who they are and why they do what they do in their business, I’m sold! I’ve connected, I feel like I know them and I would rather do business with them than just an awesome website with no connection.

Pictures are the best way to let people get to know who you are, what you believe in, and what your business can do for them.

In order to have a good personal brand, people need to connect and relate to you.

When your target audience can connect with you as a person they will more easily trust you and in turn give you their business or loyalty. Which in turn grows your business.

Most businesses and influencers need to have a weekly or even a daily stream of images they can post to social media to stay connected and relevant. You probably take pictures on your phone at least 5 days a week to post on social media sites or apps. Even if you take only 30 minutes to do so that’s 2.5 hours per week, 10 hours per month and 120 hours per year! That’s the equivalent of 3 full work weeks per year taking and posting pictures on social media!

I’m Becca! It’s nice to meet you. I’m a mother of 5 kids, I’m married to a Navy Veteran and we also have 2 dogs a cat and a lot of plants! I enjoy reading, painting, gardening and camping in my spare time. (Ha ha ha…spare time?) I love art, music, movies, theatre and the outdoors.
